Surely You Can’t Be Serious – The True Story of Airplane

As you know, Airplane! is one of the funniest films in the history of films and now there is a book all about it! This book is a literary masterpiece and you owe it to yourself to buy it, flip through it, and put it on your shelf for safekeeping.

When I go to a bookstore I always check out the Comedy/Humour section. It is usually a mix of Ellen Degeneres books along with maybe Amy Schumer and that one guy whose name escapes me now. Anyway, this book popped out at me as something new and I just had to have it. Thanks to a well-timed gift card I was able to afford it. This is a pricey book (at least here in Australia) but I simply had to have it and I would urge you to not let a few dollars hold you back from this one. Spending my last few dollars on it was the best financial decision I’ve made since financing a fucking iPhone for 3 years!

This meaty book is loaded with photos and commentary like no other comedy related book I’ve ever seen. Everything, and I mean everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Airplane! is in this book. There is even a still from the “tits” scene so that is pretty cool, especially if you are some kind of pervert. Even with the graphic, perhaps vulgar, still image of a topless woman, I’d still say it is safe for kids, especially if your kids are perverts too.

I give this book a solid 10/10 and I urge you to buy it, preferably from a local bookstore.
