A sad day has finally arrived.

I went to record some 8mm comedy shorts for you guys but alas, the bulb in my projector died. No problem, I’ll look online… hmmm… between $80 and $300 and none to be found in Australia. I’m sure there are some but I’m not spending a hundred bucks on a bulb. So, I have a new plan. I’m going digital. Ouch, I know.

The plan is to buy a cheap film scanner, because I’m broke, and then to digitize the hundreds of films that I have. To watch them, I’ll get a digital projector and just use my old screen. This will actually make things a lot easier BUT watching digitized movies on a digital projector just won’t be the same. At least they’ll be Castle Films movies (mostly) so that is good I guess.

The bright side is that I’ll get to watch all of my old films again and and put them online for my vistor(s). Another bright side is that I’ll be able to eat popcorn without the worry of getting butter etc. on the films. You wouldn’t guess it but that was actually a problem I had.

So, there you go. This plan will get me back in action.
